Have you ever wanted to do a video project in your class, but just don't know where to start? Have you already done a video project, but want to take the project to the next level? Do you want to help teachers design projects that utilize video, but the teachers aren't confident making videos? If so, this session is for you!

Join this three-hour intensive workshop led by the students and faculty of SLA’s CTE Digital Video program to learn the basics of designing and managing a video project in your class. After a brief overview of some foundational concepts you will dive right in to making your own short video with other teachers. You will be teamed with one or more SLA video students who will guide your group as you film and edit your movie.

You can bring any device capable of taking video, such as a smart phone or camera. Students are usually filming on phones, so it's great to use that.

This session is more hands-on than conversation focused, so come prepared to do more and talk a little less. All participants will be invited to a G+channel in which they will share their videos as well as questions they have. At the end of the session we will screen the videos that were created and have time for reflection and talk back. Lorraine Ustaris, the CTE Video Teacher, will make herself available after the session to chat with specific people about their video needs.
